- The lotus roots in mud and blooms flawlessly above it. That is exactly how we see existing buildings: age is not what counts, but what lies within them. Almost every building holds more substance than one would credit at first glance.

- The leaves of the lotus are so finely structured that water and dirt simply roll off. Biomimetics has transferred this principle to façade paints, glass and roof tiles. To us it is the finest confirmation: the smartest solution in construction is rarely the most elaborate — it is the one that sustains itself.
